No one does anything of importance alone. I have decided to go ahead with my career as a music maker because I truly believe that this is the path that best expresses my soul here on earth. It is also the best way I have found to give my creative energy and time back to the community.
Having said this, I would like to add that I know I will not accomplish this without the help of friends, family, and those of you I haven't yet met. If you take an active interest in helping me on this quest, I’ve got some homework for you! (Join the tribe!)
The Path Defined:
Music brings joy to all of us, and it helps us to heal. In times of struggle, it lifts us and carries us through days that would otherwise weigh us down. I am still learning to accept my place as a music maker, but I understand it to be, at its core, a service industry. I have spent my life so far writing songs to myself, for myself - to help me through my own struggles and to better understand who I am and my place in the world.
This year has been a great learning experience for me, as I learn to write and play for you. I can already tell, the songs that I write in the future will include a lot more audience participation ;) There’s nothing quite as fun as singing with a whole group of people. Somehow the creative spirit - and our willingness to express ourselves, be vulnerable and sing in front of each other - unites us in a way that feels SO beautiful!
As I grow as a musician and band leader, I hope to inspire you enough to sing with me! And, as a concerned citizen of the planet, I intend to use music to fund projects that promote sustainability in Agriculture, Architecture, and the Arts. These parnership projects are still being formed, so stay tuned for more information on how you, too, can participate!
