Sustainable Sound Recordings

At Sustainable Sound we believe in creating music that has a positive impact in the community and on the planet. 

All artists will be long term songwriters with extensive catalogs that have yet to be fully explored. 

All physical albums will be limited releases - which should double as collectible works of art.  We will press and print between 50 (local release) and 1,000 (worldwide release) copies of each disc.  Once we’ve printed 1,000 - that’s it, there won’t be any more physical copies... sincerely limiting our contributions to landfills, and, we hope, creating a clever bit of CD (or vinyl) art that is worthy of hanging on your wall or taking up a wee bit of space on your bookshelf.

Community participation is actively encouraged.  The community helps to determine which songs an artist should focus their time and resources on.

Digital Distribution is a priority (less waste all around!).

50% of publishing royalties will be devoted to supporting sustainable projects in agriculture, architecture, and the arts. As we grow as a business, we hope to increase this amount to up to 80%.

10% of net profits will be devoted to the same.
